Social Media Strategist Internship
The Role
The Social Media Intern will assist in developing and managing content across our digital platforms, engaging with our online community, and supporting marketing initiatives to enhance our brand presence.
What Skills You’ll Build:
Create, schedule, and publish content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
Monitor engagement metrics and analyze performance to optimize content strategy
Capture photos and videos of classes, events, and performances
Collaborate with staff and instructors to highlight key programs and initiatives
Respond to comments and messages, fostering an active online community
Assist in developing promotional campaigns and event announcements
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
Experience with content creation (graphic design, photography, video editing) is a plus
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Passion for the performing arts and community engagement
Commitment:
10-15 hours per week
Minimum 3-month commitment April- June 2025

The Performing Arts Preparatory School is Southern Maryland's new hub for the next generation of performing artists to hone their skills.
Our goal is to guide and prepare the next generation of performing artists by connecting them with skilled, degree-holding instructors with equal performing experience. We want to provide an enriching environment for students born to participate in the arts.
We provide one-on-one training in various musical instruments and dance styles. Our lessons focus on genres ranging from classical, jazz, musical theater, R&B, and pop styles and are ideal for all skill levels and ages.
We are looking to add well-versed music instructors who can offer private lessons.
We are seeking instructors who specialize in the following disciplines:
Music Theory
Composition
Performance
Sight Reading
Qualifications:
- A College Degree and/or equal performance experience
- Thorough knowledge of music theory, technique, and repertoire relative to your respective specialty
- The ability to communicate and inform students of complex theories and techniques in a clear and concise manner
- Availability to teach on Weekdays between 11:00 am -8 pm and Weekends 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
