Clifford's journey into the world of music began at the University of Maryland, where he pursued and successfully attained a Bachelor of Music degree. Under the mentorship of the renowned musician and educator, Robert DiLutus, Clifford honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the art of clarinet performance.
Throughout his illustrious career, Clifford Hangarter has had the privilege of participating in a variety of prestigious ensembles.
Notably, he was a key member of the esteemed Washington Commanders Football Team Marching Band, where his musical talents resonated through stadiums.
His dedication to ensemble performance extended beyond the marching band, as he spent several years contributing his talents to various orchestras. These experiences allowed him to explore the nuances of different musical styles and fostered his passion for creating captivating and harmonious melodies.
As an educator, Clifford has not only performed but has also embraced the role of a mentor and guide to aspiring musicians through teaching music lessons for the New Horizons program.
